Love Lives on—in Memory of Isabelle

Thank you for sharing – I type with tears on my eyes for the special memorial for your beloved Isabelle. My hardest goodbye is on the horizon with my aging Murphy so everything you’ve said for Isabelle holds true for my Murphy. Thank you for being able to share and creating a loving depiction of how we all feel for our fur babies. Your cartoons are more than colorful smiles on paper, they’re full of feelings, memories and love. Sending tail wags and love your way!

I’ve lost quite a few over the years and I still love and miss them all today.

We are so sorry to read of the loss of your special soul dog Isabelle. She is a beautiful soul and her love for you is written in her eyes. The hardest ‘goodbye’ indeed and the sorrow that comes with that hurts like nothing else. I have been there many times over the years and shed an ocean of tears too. She walks with you always and is never more than a whisper away ~ she sleeps in your heart her forever place. Until you walk with her again I wish you both Peace and Eternal memories to hold forever. Looking at her photo you can tell from her expression that she had a lovely soul (those eyes!). I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Perhaps your only comfort is that you gave her a good and happy life. At 71 I’ve had to face the hardest loss of 4 dogs I loved dearly and the place is so empty and the silence so profound when it happens. What was it Queen Elizabeth said “Grief is the price we pay for love”. There really is no getting round this truth and would we withhold love and freeze our hearts to discourage it? I think we know the answer to that question.

The title alone made me cry and think of my babies…I wish you strength. There is nothing better than a dog.

Dear Amy, I literally choked up reading the header on the email and once I saw the video that was it 💔😭 But it’s completely and utterly perfect expression of this time and of course, it mirrors the time many of us have had with our fur babies. I believe we get signs from our loves & I have personally experienced them🐾 I’d love to get more, but in the meantime , I hold them tight my heart I never really let go. I was lucky enough have the blankets were they passed and I plan to use them for myself one day (just added to my box) I don’t like the proper word for box BTW

What a beautiful tribute to Isabelle. I’m so happy that she had a wonderful life with you. They sure leave beautiful paw prints on our hearts and so many memories. You and Isabelle will be reunited somewhere down the line. Thank so much Amy for sharing this tribute to her.

I started crying almost after 1 second. I’m extremely tiered today, so that is a deal breaker for dogs who have crossed The Rainbow Bridge. Your tribute was perfect! Isabelle is always with you in your heart.

I am so sorry for your heartbreaking loss Amy! Isabelle was so loved by us! Thank you for sharing your beautiful girl with us! She definitely came across as your soul dog. I have been lucky to have had several soul dogs in addition to my other dogs. Losing a soul dog hits harder & deeper. Your video is such a beautiful tribute to the wonderful girl Isabelle was!

until we can be with them again. I said goodbye to my sweet cat PumeeAnne 2 mos ago and I still feel her strongly. It’s just my senior dog Peanut and me. Over the last almost 8 yrs I’ve said goodbye to many “senior
littles” as I am a special needs foster at a nearby sanctuary. I handle Live Evidence/ cruelity case, medical and hospice furbabies.
I give then back their life with more love than they ever knew. Each one broke my heart. But I kept taking them in to show them what life should have been. My deepest appreciation for all that you do, Amy and I smile each time I reach for a cup for tea because my collection from you has grown so much over the years.

Amy, I am deeply deeply sorry for the loss of Isabelle. My heart truly breaks for you. Nothing will ever replace the special bond the two of you had and she will always be with you even know you can no longer actually see her. Hold on to the precious memories and just know that she knew she was loved and that you gave her a wonderful Life. You have given so much comfort to so many of us when we have lost our pets. I will definitely be getting one of those t-shirts in honor of Isabelle.

Secondly, You have spoken for ALL of us who have loved and lost a dog.
I’m in my 70’s and have had dogs my whole life. I’ve never been dog less since the age of 5. I loved and miss them all – but there’s always a Special one that touches your Soul. My Roxie was your Isabelle to me..
